OKONOMIYAKI is made by cooking base dough of cabbage, flour and water or DASHI mixed together with main ingredients on top. Originally, it was born in Osaka as a local food but nowadays it is eaten all over Japan.
There is also a different style of OKONOMIYAKI called HIROSHIMAYAKI. For HIROSHIMAYAKI, flour batter is thinly cooked like crepes, and cabbage, noodles and main ingredients are placed on it.
